S-CAP
Have you ever wanted to attend a professional or academic conference? Do you have a paper
you would like to present at a national meeting? Would you like to expand your networking
opportunities? Are the travel expenses too costly? The S-CAP program is for you!
The Student Conference Award Program (S-CAP) is designed to provide undergraduate and graduate students
the opportunity to obtain funding to attend conferences in their field of study. The maximum award
is $600.00 and may include: round trip travel, lodging, airport shuttle or taxi fees, and conference
registration fees. S-CAP does NOT pay for meals or other fees not associated with conference attendance.
Applications are accepted on an on-going basis for the semester and should be submitted no less than
1 month prior to the start of the conference. Award decisions are on a first-come, first-serve basis
and are subject to both the availability of funds and the quality of the application. All applications
are reviewed by a 5-member committee.

Applicants will be notified of funding decisions 3-5 weeks after the application is submitted for review.
