Currently employers participating in many aspects of career development at UNM, from annual Career Fairs to the more specific On Campus Recruiting events, have contact with some of the best college students in America. We are expanding the opportunity for the relationship between employers and students to grow by offering an advertisement package through UNM Career Services!
The "Cyber Cafe" provides state of the art computing power for UNM students and a modern workplace for students. We offer great potential for career development in a progressive workstation, giving the students a taste of the accommodations available in many of today's top employment organizations. It is our goal to utilize this state of the art facility to deliver a package of resources for employers to market themselves more directly to the UNM community through the Career Services department.
We would like to offer the opportunity for our employer partners to directly market themselves to the students who use our new Cyber Cafe. We have put together the following package of advertising possibilities to get the names of our employer partners in the minds and eyes of University of New Mexico students.
The advertising package includes:
A 3 foot by 4 foot advertisement space located in the Resource Lab is ideal for catching the eye of every student who enters. The bulletin board is located next to the coffee counter, which is quite popular with students for the reason that coffee is free for students that visit the lab. Think of it as a billboard for foot traffic!
The Cyber Cafe has 10 computer monitors that display rotating screen savers. If you would like to provide your own screen savers promoting your organziation the image size should be 1280 x 1040 pixels and should be saved as either a .psd, .jpg, .gif, or a .png file. Screen savers promoting your organization can be produced in our offices, although we ask that you provide us with your logo and pictures.
We will add your hyper-linked company logo to the Career Services home page under our "Employer of the Month" heading. An added page with another link and further information will also be available to give students a synopsis of when your company will be on campus, holding information sessions, accepting applications, or other information you would like to share with our cyber community.
Career Services has a scrolling marquee just outside of our office, in the second floor lobby of the Student Services Building. Housed within the walls of the Student Services Building are, Financial Aid, Cashier's Office, Records and Registration, Dean of Students, etc. Obviously, there is a large amount of foot traffic through our building. We will advertise your organization on the marquee for students to see as they conduct their campus business in our building.
If your company has promotional items that can be displayed within the individual workstations, such as desk-pad calendars, table tents, pens, or mouse pads, that too can be included in the advertising month. Ideas from the Employer's marketing departments are encouraged and welcome!
The total cost for the advertising package is $500.00 per month, plus any promotional materials you would like displayed. Advertising space will be on a first come, first served basis. If there is a particular month you would like to advertise, please let us know as much in advance as possible.
